Our Philosophy
Our Design Ethos
“We believe bespoke furniture should support the wider interior scheme — not compete with it. Proportion, comfort, and materiality guide every design decision.”
Our work draws on classic references combined with modern construction techniques, allowing designs to sit comfortably within both heritage and contemporary interiors.
Frames are intentionally restrained, letting texture, craftsmanship, and finish take precedence. Nothing competes. Everything belongs.
Trade & Studio
Collaboration with Designers
We work closely with interior designers from early concept stages through to final installation. Whether adapting an existing Recoire design or developing a fully bespoke piece, our role is to support your creative direction while offering technical insight and material expertise.
Designers are welcome to visit our London workshop by appointment to review samples, finishes, and pieces in production. This direct access enables informed decision-making and a deeper understanding of how each piece is made.
We regularly collaborate with studios across the UK, US, Hong Kong, and Singapore and are experienced in working to detailed specifications, drawings, and project timelines.
How We Work
The Design & Development Process
Initial Briefing
Review of drawings, schedules, reference imagery, and specifications to understand scope, intent, and constraints. This stage establishes the creative and technical framework for everything that follows.
Design Development
Refinement of proportions, construction details, and finishes in line with the wider scheme. Technical input is provided where required to ensure durability and long-term practicality.
Samples & Approvals
Provision of upholstery, timber, and finish samples for client approval prior to manufacture. This enables informed decision-making and a deeper understanding of how each piece is made.
In-House Manufacture
All furniture is handcrafted in our London workshop, with upholstery, carpentry, and spray finishing carried out under one roof for full quality control.
Delivery & Installation
Coordination of delivery and installation in line with project schedules and phased handovers. We work within existing site logistics to minimise disruption at critical stages.
Fabric & Specification
Materials & COM
Our Range
We work with a wide range of premium timbers, metals, leathers, and upholstery fabrics — selected for durability, aesthetic quality, and suitability for contract use where required.
Client’s Own Material
COM is fully welcomed. We are happy to advise on suitability, durability, and required yardage before confirming an order. Sample lengths can be submitted ahead of briefing.
Comfort & Construction
Cushion Fillings
The filling is the last decision — and not a small one. Each option changes the way a piece sits, settles, and wears over time. We will always advise on what suits the piece.
Foam & Dacron
Low MaintenanceHigh-density foam cut to the exact shape of each cushion, finished with a Dacron wrap that softens the profile without compromising structure. It holds its form without fuss — the right choice for pieces that will be used hard and often.
Feather & Down
Luxurious FeelThe classic fill. Loose feather and down gives each cushion a relaxed, settled quality — the kind that improves with use. It asks something of you in return: a plump and a turn, now and then. For those who don't mind, there is nothing softer.
Feather & Down Jacket with Foam Core
Best of BothA foam core holds the shape; a feather and down jacket does everything else. The result is a cushion that looks considered, sits beautifully, and asks very little in return. Our most frequently specified option — and for good reason.
All pieces are made-to-order; lead times are project-specific. Our London-based production allows us to remain flexible and responsive where installation deadlines demand it.
